ART-216: Sculpture I
3 credit hours
Encourages students to understand and create sculptural forms using reductive and constructive methods. Through studio work and demonstrations, students develop the three-dimensional language of form, space, material, and process. Assigned problems encourage personal ideation through an understanding of a variety of materials such as wood, plaster, stone, metal, and mixed media, and related skills and approaches ranging from carving to site-specific installation. This course can be used to satisfy University Studies requirements.
