RS-103: The Old Testament

This course is an overview of the entire Old Testament. It introduces the student to the history of the People of Israel, their evolving theological perspectives on life and death, and the manner in which they constructed their religious literature. It explores essential elements of biblical faith and encourages students to perceive connections with the realities of the world today while emphasizing the importance of studying a biblical text in the social, political, and religious context in which it was written. This course can be used to satisfy University Studies requirements.
