PHYS-311: Classical Physics I
3 credit hours
PHYS311 is the first course of a two-session course in Classical Physics for natural science majors. The topics for the first session include the historical development of Physics and the scientific method, kinematics, dynamics, forces, energy, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics. Concurrent registration in PHYS321, the lab part of this course is normally required. PHYS311 is a prerequisite for PHYS312. The student will be expected to have a working knowledge of Trigonometry and Calculus.
