History And Description
In 1980, Spalding University led Louisville's higher education institutions by inaugurating the first weekend accelerated program in Kentucky as part of its efforts to meet the needs of adult learners. The program builds on the adult learner's self-motivation, prior learning achievements and professional experiences by delivering quality courses structured to meet the needs of working adults. This program successfully merges scholarship with work experience to help adult students accomplish their educational and career goals.
Students come from diverse background. Many are returning to school, transferring from other colleges and universities or have no former college training. Some of the students return to college for personal enrichment, while others want to expand their career choices, change jobs, or obtain promotions. Whatever the reason, AAP works to provide all students a place that fosters intellectual, spiritual and professional development.
