SW-472: Integrating Seminar I
2 credit hours
This weekly seminar provides a forum to discuss generalist social work practice in varied settings, including topics such as values and ethics, human diversity, and the agency as a social system. Structured assignments ensure integration of classroom and field learning, emphasis on progressive development of professional use of self, and critical thinking about systems of oppression, empowerment, and the promotion of social and economic justice. The course reinforces the primary role of the student as learner.
