SW-341: Social Work Intervention I

This first of the three-course BSSW practice sequence emphasizes the basic skills of engagement, assessment, and basic intervention planning, primarily with individuals. The course integrates strengths and empowerment perspectives, and employs case situations that reflect all aspects of human diversity. Learning processes promote self-awareness, attentiveness to values and ethics, critical thinking in practice, and strategies for self-evaluation in micro practice.
