KSAG-372: Color
3 credit hours
This course investigates the perception of color and how it is used in print and digital media. Students will focus on the effective use of color in the context of design problems. The course will instruct students to create color both with physical media, such as paint, and with the computer. Specific focus is placed on the attributes of color, color interaction, and the impact of color on composition. Students will also explore the psychological, symbolic, and cultural associations of color. Key color systems and terminology used in the field of Graphic Design will also be introduced.
