ECS-350: Introduction to Special Education
1-3 credit hours/Field Experiences Required
Provides an introduction to, and the development of, the field of special education. This course will enable an understanding of the developmental and learning characteristics of students with all types of exceptionalities. Emphasis on parent and school relations through effective communications; state and federal regulations impacting services for special needs children; litigation, legislation, regulation, and advocacy issues impacting educational and related services for individuals with academic and/or physical disabilities.
