ART-203: Ceramics I
3 credit hours
Provides an introduction to the basic skills of working with ceramic material. Students conceptualize and create works in clay using hand-building techniques. Technical development also includes an introduction to surface treatment through glazing and firing in an electric kiln. Assigned projects cover a diversity of approaches to the materials to help broaden students' awareness of clay as an expressive medium. This course can be used to satisfy University Studies requirements.
