ART-390: Installation Art & Media
3 credit hours
The course aims to instruct students in the professional practice of making site and object specific installation art, utilizing of a variety of media including video, sculpture, performance and painting. Students will investigate how installation art practices can be used to convey meaning and focuses on the use of video as a sculptural material in an installation context. Students will utilize the tools of the Makers Space to create soft and hard sculptures for projection mapping installations. The course also explores the relationship of architectural theory to an understanding of contemporary site-related art and performance.
