SW-636: Social Work Leadership

This knowledge base course gives learners opportunities to understand how social workers effectively serve as leaders in diverse agency and community settings with a broad array of client populations and personnel. Learners explore contemporary leadership theory and practice principles relevant to social service delivery systems, especially macro systems, including government agencies, religious-affiliated or charitable institutions, and health care facilities. Learners also examine special leadership skills needed in case management, supervision, coalition building, and program development and evaluation.
