PHYS-311: Classical Physics I
3 credit hours
PHYS-311 is the first course of a two-session non-calculus course in Classical Physics for Natural Science and related majors. The topics for the first session include vector algebra, mechanics of motion, Newton’s laws of motion and their applications, energy conservation and dynamics of rotational motion. Concurrent registration in PHYS-321, the lab for this course is normally required. PHYS-311 is a prerequisite for PHYS-312. The student will be expected to have a working knowledge of Trigonometry and Pre-Calculus.
