NURS-642: Differential Diagnosis & Applications

This course emphasizes the application and critical thinking to manage simple and complex patients across the lifespan seen commonly in a primary care setting. The process by which family nurse practitioners use clinical reasoning to filter through possible diagnoses is taught. Clinical judgement will be developed by teaching how to integrate, translate and apply their knowledge to determine the correct diagnosis. The course integrates procedures and diagnostic tests commonly utilized in a primary care setting.
