CJR-325: Juvenile Justice Reform

This course will introduce, examine, and provide students the skills with which to analyze drug reform. This course will emphasize a conceptual approach rather than a statistical focus to studying the creation, implementation, and evaluation of drug reform. Topics may include school-related problems, status offenses, reducing youth incarceration, prosecuting children as adults, children in adult prison, death in prison sentences, disproportionate minority contact, transitional home and more. This course can be used to satisfy University Studies requirements.
