CJR-335: Re-entry Reform

This course will introduce, examine, and provide students the skills with which to analyze re-entry reform. This course will emphasize a conceptual approach rather than a statistical focus to studying the creation, implementation, and evaluation of re-entry reform. Topics may include therapeutic communities, specialized re-entry services, reentry courts, employment and work release programs, substance abuse treatment programs, housing/homelessness programs, programs targeting sex or violent offenders, and programs targeting females, reducing collateral consequences of convictions, supervision that supports youth, improving community supervision and more. This course can be used to satisfy University Studies requirements.
