CJR-345: Mental Health and Reform

This course will introduce, examine, and provide students the skills with which to analyze mental health issues in criminal justice reform. This course will emphasize a conceptual approach rather than a statistical focus to studying the creation, implementation, and evaluation of mental health issues in criminal justice reform. Topics may include pre-arrest intervention, treatment alternatives to incarceration, prison accommodations, re-entry. This course can be used to satisfy University Studies requirements.
