PSY-752: Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuroanatomy
3 credit hours
This course will provide a foundational and comprehensive review of the structures and functioning of the human nervous system. The course will also include an introduction to neuropathology including cranial nerves, cranial osteology, and brain system functions. Through clinical cases, students will understand basic neuropathological underpinnings of behavior as well as the sequelae associated with congenital and acquired disorders of the central nervous system. With a general understanding of neuroscience/neuroanatomy, students will enhance their neuropsychological assessment and diagnostic capabilities.
