SW-620: Practicum I
3 credit hours
The Foundation Year field practicum is an educationally directed, on-site, generalist experience under the instruction of an agency-based social work instructor and a campus-based faculty member. In this first half of the Practicum experience, students complete approximately half (225) of the hours required (450) for completion of the Foundation Year Practicum over two semesters. The practicum assists students in integration and application of practice theory to the practicum learning activities. The foundation practicum is taken concurrently with SW 621: Field Seminar I.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Learners are required to attend a Field Seminar each semester they are enrolled for a practicum.
Prerequisite: Admission to MSW Program.
