Early Admission Program for Current High School Students
Spalding University allows high school students with qualified academic credentials to enroll in our courses. There are two programs a student may be granted admission for Spalding credit: Dual Credit and College Credit.
I. Dual Credit is defined as a high school course in partnership with Spalding in which a high school student is simultaneously earning high school and college credit. Students enrolled in dual credit will have a tuition rate equal to ½ the KCTCS hourly rate.
Criteria for admission:
- Student must be either a high school junior or senior.
- Students must be enrolled in a college preparatory curriculum.
- A Dual Credit registration form must be completed, along with parent/guardian signature (for minors).
Kentucky Dual Credit Scholarship Program:
Residents of Kentucky attending a Kentucky high school may qualify for the Kentucky Dual Credit program. If a student is eligible, the student will receive a scholarship through the state of Kentucky to cover a tuition rate equal to ½ the KCTCS hourly rate. Funds are disbursed to the eligible student’s high school and the high school will pay the dual credit course fee.
II. College Credit is defined as a Spalding course taken by a high school student to earn college credits. College credit courses are courses taken at Spalding for college credit.
Criteria for admission:
- Student must be either a high school junior or senior.
- Students must be enrolled in a college preparatory curriculum.
- Students must complete an application for admission and submit an official high school transcript
- A College Credit registration form must be completed, along with parent/guardian signature (for minors).
