SW-472: Integrating Seminar I

This seminar meets several times each semester to discuss generalist social work practice in varied settings. It includes topics such as values and ethics, human diversity, and the agency as a social system. Structured assignments ensure integration of classroom and field learning with emphasis on professional use of self, critical thinking about systems of oppression, and empowerment and promotion of social and economic justice. The course reinforces the primary role of the student as a learner. Students are required to enroll in Integrating Seminar each semester they are enrolled in Practicum.
