ECS-698: Teaching Practicum

2 credit hours/60 field-based service learning hours
Through discussions and activities facilitated by the instructor and other professionals, students will analyze and demonstrate promising and best practices in the classroom. Students will have opportunities to discuss issues, solve problems, gather and interpret data, model effective instruction, complete case studies, and conduct self-analyses of their teaching performance. All discussions and activities center on the Kentucky New Teacher Standards, the Council for Exceptional Children standards, Kentucky Common Core Standards, and Praxis tested skills.
