NURS-625: Advanced Practice and Health Care Systems
3 credit hours
This course examines current and projected trends in health care from multiple perspectives. Seminar topics include a thorough review of ethical and legal decision-making, cultural diversity, and disease prevention/health promotion models at the advanced practice level. A critical review of future directions for advanced practice nursing within the changing health care environment is conducted. Students select topics of current/personal interest for study and debate. A service learning component is required for the course.
