NURS-674: Nurse Practitioner Clinical Practicum II

3 credit hours

This course emphasizes the clinical application of health promotion, patient and family education, and therapeutic nursing intervention as a primary health care provider. It includes emphasis on care of the family unit that contains adolescent, adult or geriatric members. Seminar experience will include life transition and risk factors for families with adolescent, adult, geriatric patients. Collaboration with other health care providers is encouraged and facilitated. (Students complete 210 precepted clinical hours.)

Prerequisite courses: NURS-649NURS-656, NURS-680, and at the discretion of the instructor (MSN program faculty).
