Prerequisites | Spalding University Catalog

Prerequisites

A prerequisite indicates an academic requirement that must be met prior to taking a particular course. Prerequisites are noted at the end of the course description in the Spalding catalog and on Self-Service.

If a prerequisite is not met by the first day of the academic session in which the class requiring the prerequisite begins, the Registrar will administratively drop a student from all subsequent courses for which the prerequisite has not been met. Incomplete (I) grades in a prerequisite class as of the first day of the academic session will be considered as insufficient for prerequisite completion and will result in an administrative drop.

Students using student financial assistance should consult the Financial Aid office for the impact of a dropped class. More information can be found in the Financial Policies. Contact information for the Financial Aid office can be found here: https://directory.spalding.edu/Directory/Detail

If a student intends to dispute the grade received in the prerequisite class, the student should follow the appeal process listed in the Disagreement in Grade Assigned policy.
