EDR-315: Reading Theories and Practices

3 credit hours/Field Experiences Required

Examines current research theories in reading instruction and strategies for the teaching of reading in the early elementary grades. Students observe classroom practices, study a child's reading strategies, and create authentic reading invitations within an integrated thematic unit. This course will include at least one writing assignment that requires peer review and a minimum of two drafts.
