LS-201: Special Topics in Interdisciplinary Studies

3 credit hours

This course allows students to investigate a topic or set of related topics through researching the interrelationships and interaction among disciplines in the humanities and social sciences. The course analyzes the similarities and differences in various ways of knowing about the world, as exemplified by the approaches of distinct academic disciplines. The focus of this course is on how the various academic disciplines can be integrated to achieve a deeper, more comprehensive understanding of a particular topic. This course will include at least one writing assignment that requires peer review and a minimum of two drafts. This course can be used to satisfy University Studies requirements.
