SW-346: Womb to Tomb: Exploring the Human Experience from Birth to Death
This course introduces the bio-psychosocial-spiritual knowledge base for generalist social work practice. Students explore evidence-based theories and concepts about human development across the life span in the various contexts in which persons live (e.g., families, groups, neighborhoods, organizations, communities, and society). This course critically examines human behavior in a social environment from diverse perspectives and integrates social work values, ethics, theories, and concepts with practice applications. Open to non-social work majors. This course will include at least one writing assignment that requires peer review and a minimum of two drafts.
