Certificate Program for Rank I Classification (Planned 6th Year Program)
The Planned 6th Year Rank I Program is designed for individuals committed to the classroom who plan to further their professional teacher education. The thirty (30) credit hours required for a Rank I must be completed after a Master’s degree/Rank II is awarded. Credits from a Master’s degree cannot be counted toward the Rank I Planned 6th Year Program unless the Master’s degree is above 30 hours.

The program is largely electives based, with six required credit hours and twenty-four credit hours chosen by the candidate and his/her advisor.
