OT-718: Neuroscience Foundations for Occupational Therapy Practice

Presents concepts focusing upon the study of the structure and function of the central nervous system. Specific correlates of occupation and occupational performance related to somatosensory, somatomotor, vestibular, diffuse modulatory systems, limbic and higher association cognitive processes are discussed. Demonstrating conceptual knowledge of the concepts of neuroplasticity's impact on occupational performance, rehabilitative and habilitative processes are major outcomes for successful course completion.
