COM-302: Health Communication
3 credit hours
A study of the role communication plays across various health and illness contexts, focusing on how messages from interpersonal, organizational, public, cultural and media sources affect health beliefs and behaviors. This course explores communication in various settings, such as provider-patient healthcare delivery, healthcare organizations and health promotion campaigns. Students in the course develop understanding essential to providing, obtaining, and advocating for quality health care for self and others. This course can be used to satisfy University Studies requirements.
