COM-404: Crisis Communication
3 credit hours
Focuses on one of the many specialized areas or functions of public relations. Prepares students through presentation of principles and ethical considerations to prepare internal and external messaging when an organization faces a problem or challenge that threatens harm. Develops understanding of the conditions that constitute a crisis, how to develop and implement a crisis communication plan, and the media relations skills required in managing a crisis response. This course can be used to satisfy University Studies requirements.
