SGC-660: Community Resources and School Collaboration

3 credit hours
Course content will focus on the demonstration of collaboration methods with staff, families, and community organizations to support the school mission and advance district, state, and federal initiatives for closing student achievement gaps and addressing student issues (gangs, bullying, substance abuse, family violence, etc.). Counselors' roles in advocating for social justice through resources and collaboration will be demonstrated. (Min. 10 Clock hours of field Experiences required.)
