This course is an overview of the Old Testament (Hebrew Bible) with consideration for how the text has been used and interpreted by both Jews and Christians. It utilizes scholarly approaches to biblical texts with an emphasis on the historical, political, and religious context in which they were written. This course can be used to satisfy University Studies requirements.
