This class introduces students to a professional writing atmosphere in the University Writing Center. Students will participate in writing center training which consists of reading, reflecting, and responding to writing center scholarship with an emphasis on philosophy, observation, and peer mentoring practices in a writing center environment. After successful completion of the course, students
have an opportunity to serve as consultants in the Writing Center.

Prerequisites: ENG-109, ENG-110, Recommendation by professor and acceptance by the Writing Center director. Open to non-majors. This course can be used to fulfill University Studies requirements.
