CJ-340: Victimology and Restorative Justice

3 credit hours

A survey of the evolving field of victimology from its preoccupation with the study of the victim as a co-active participant in crime to the reemergence of the victim as the focus of the criminal justice system and public policy. This course will also examine the corollary reemergence of the concept of restorative justice, which seeks to address the needs of victims, offenders, and the community. This course can be used to satisfy University Studies requirements.
