EDU-532: Mathematics Methods in the Elementary School
3 credit hours/Field Experiences Required
Studies the structure and concepts of teaching of mathematics including instructional design, teaching strategies/methods, assessment of students' learning, modification of instruction based upon data from student assessments, materials, textbooks, and use of state/district curriculum materials. Incorporates relevant assignments/experiences for master’s level candidates. A portion of the course is taught in an elementary school and includes mini-teaching experiences.
