EPP-660: Community, Systems, Resources, and Policy

3 credit hours

This course is designed to immerse the candidate in building relationships with families and developing partnerships with community stakeholders. It is also designed to engage the candidate in working collaboratively with all stakeholders while leveraging various resources to support shared goals and objectives within the school community. Through coursework, field experiences, and local experts the candidate will learn how to communicate effectively and work collaboratively to assess the concerns, needs, and issues of families and communities served by the school.7The course experiences will also help the candidate identify, access, and allocate resources; work within district and school policies; and monitor the efficacy of resources that advance student achievement.
