PSY-750: Introduction to Neuropsychology
This course is an introduction to the theory and practice of Clinical Neuropsychology. This subfield is a specialized niche of Clinical Psychology that aims to understand and interpret the relationship between the central nervous system, cognition, emotion, and behavior. The purpose of the course is to help doctoral students develop a foundational understanding of general neuropsychology. The course will take an interdisciplinary approach, integrating information from several subfields of medicine (neurology, neuroradiology, psychiatry) and several subfields of psychology (cognitive, developmental, health, etc.). The course will focus on the acquisition of knowledge through clinical case examples, current research, and practical application.
