This course emphasizes the role of policy analysis in social workers practice. The course prepares students to evaluate, critique, and create or improve social welfare policies and services. Students explore the social, cultural, political, economic, and global contexts for policy practice with emphasis on the intersectionality of race, class, gender, and other marginalized identity characteristics.
