NURS-845: Emergency Readiness and Disaster Preparedness for the DNP Nurse Leader

3 credit hours

This course will prepare the DNP Nurse Leader to respond to emergency and public health crises through development and implementation of plans to mitigate disaster and alleviate public health concerns. The course will focus on identifying public health emergencies, employing ethical decision-making to develop and initiate rapid response activities to protect population health, mitigating risks with attention to vulnerable populations, evidence based infection control practices, and collaboration with multiple disciplines to strategically allocate resources to ensure highest priority activities are implemented that will reduce adverse outcomes.
