SW-610: Direct Clinical Practice: Families, Groups & Organizations

Direct Clinical Practice: Families, Groups & Organizations expose students to anti-oppressive clinical practice perspectives for social work practice with mezzo systems, including families, groups, and organizations. Students learn and practice skills in engagement, assessment, intervention, and endings and transitions within a mezzo context. The process and dynamics that occur in mezzo systems will be explored. Students will learn about the stages of group development and specific techniques that can be used to facilitate problem-solving at each stage.

Prerequisite: Admission to MSW Program.
