OT-615: Research for Occupational Therapy Practitioners

4 credit hours
Promotes the development and use of research knowledge and skills for practice in occupational therapy. Includes a review of descriptive and inferential statistics as used in research designs. Emphasis upon the analysis and critique of both qualitative and quantitative studies for evidence-based practice. The course develops research skills in the preparation and/or conduction of a research proposal including design, data collection, and analysis. Application and development of evidence base studies are a critical aspect of the course.
