ART-275: Painting II: Sensibility and Structure -- Building on the observational skills from Painting I
3 credit hours
This painting course will teach students how to compose color for the purpose of self-expression. Non-objective as well as perceptual painting will be practiced to help students gain pictorial literacy through the personal, sensual experience of the painting process. Conceptual venues will be explored to deepen students’ relationship with their work and to find personal content. A broader exposure to multicultural, and historical to contemporary work in painting, will stimulate and open students' awareness to today’s possibilities. This course can be used to satisfy University Studies requirements.
