ART-322: Digital Painting

3 credit hours

Students will practice and develop studio art concepts and techniques either beyond the level or more varied than those addressed in other studio art courses. Students may repeat this course with approval of the instructor. This course is offered at the advanced level. This course can be used to satisfy 300 level or above studio elective requirements.

Digital Painting will tackle creating brushes in Photoshop and Illustrator and using them in your pieces, blocking and painting with a tablet from a still life, altering photographs, and leading to a digital illustration process that is both based in analog and digital tools. This will build upon what painting and drawing experience you have from previous classes.

Pre-requisites: ART-135 or ART-140
