CHEM-211: General Chemistry I

3 credit hours

Consists of the fundamental principles of chemistry, including atomic and molecular structure, stoichiometry, thermochemistry, properties of gases, quantum mechanics and periodic properties of the elements. Emphasis is placed on the development of critical thinking and problem solving skills. This course can be used to satisfy the University Studies Physical Science requirement. This course is required for the Natural Science major, though enrollment is open to all students.
